A quiet but tectonic shift has just occurred in New Orleans politics:
James Gray, father of state senator Cheryl Gray and husband of Juvenile Court judge Ernestine Gray, was unanimously elected chair. He takes over from Stephanie Butler, William Jefferson’s local District Manager and OPDEC chair since around 1991. Butler apparently played a large part in the “Eddie Jordan fired all the white people” scandal.
