No pesa … son nuestros hermanos.

    6th November 2007

It isn’t hard — they’re our brothers and sisters.

The Mexican state of Tabasco is under water. Sol Orozco Hernandez, who authors the Root Coffee blog, has a long list of charities helping with the rescue and relief, and he’s acknowledged the assistance provided by people of New Orleans (HT: Karen).

Living in New Orleans, having experienced this ourselves, and living under the threat of it happening again, this is who we are. We have a moral obligation to help.

Personally, I prefer Save the Children for donations, because it’s an efficient humanitarian organization whose work I admired in Honduras.

Have a hard time whipping up much interest here. The US media has fallen down on the job.

The best footage I saw was from Al Jazeera, go figure.
