So, have you ever wondered who was the inspiration for Anthony Jones’ pointy sideburns?
Since Jones has decided to step down from the stellar salary at Starfleet Command to return to the Enterprise, we might take a guess who his role model is.
And now that he’s accepting a $75,000 pay cut, Jones’ salary will still be twice as much as the average worker’s salary in New Orleans. What Jones was getting paid as the CTO — $160,000 — he could have bought his way through a really expensive university and earned a respectable diploma. Of course, that’s putting the cart before the horse. Most people go deep into debt to earn their credentials. Still, it might be said to his favor that Anthony Jones did oversee the creation of a really neat IT office organization chart which looks like a University of Phoenix online homework assignment.
Of course, apparently our business mayor C. Ray Nagin couldn’t give a flying hoot whether or not competent people are placed in high-falutin’ posts, or whether or not they’re qualified to maintain accurate lists of legitimate businesses getting paid by taxpayers for services, as long as they’re in his family & friends circle.
