Jimmy Carter is a good friend of New Orleans

On the day that Dubya made his last stand in New Orleans, choosing the comfort of people who wouldn’t criticize him at a National Guard base at the edge of New Orleans to deliver a speech which was handed to him so he wouldn’t have to find out for himself how the recovery is really going, former President Jimmy Carter was also reportedly in town quietly touring the Lower Ninth Ward.
Carter will present a video about Katrina recovery at the Democratic Convention tonight.
Jimmy Carter has always been a good friend of New Orleans! How much different the recovery could have been were someone like Carter were president when Katrina hit.
