Oh, that Bishop O.C. Coleman …
12th December 2008
Yeah — he’s the one Ray Nagin “hears” things from, like how people who scrutinize Ray Nagin are racists, and that he’s going to pack City Council chambers to terrorize Stacy Head.
Coleman generally keeps a low profile, because he probably wouldn’t want it advertised, when Sewerage & Water Board contracts come up for renewal, that he was a major campaign donor to Ray Nagin’s re-election campaign, in his company’s name, MCCI.

That was after Bishop O.C. Coleman was awarded a $2.5 million contract, with help from his friend Reverend Benjamin Edwards, another Nagin benefactor, to do work on the sewer and water systems after Katrina. Unfortunately, the old Gambit story link on Edwards doesn’t work anymore, since the Gambit’s Web site was re-designed, but an excerpt can still be found on an old PGR post. Bayoustjohndavid no doubt knows enough about Edwards, Coleman, MCCI, and their connection to Nagin, to write a whole new prophecy for Greater Light Ministries on the sins of mixing politics, profiteering, and religion.
It might be a good idea to have some FBI, IRS, and U.S. Attorney officials on hand at City Council chambers. It might save them some trouble if they could get everyone in the same room.
Well, this might be a good time to remember that chickens, too, make a lot of noise just before they get their heads cut off.
