Coleman generally keeps a low profile, because he probably wouldn’t want it advertised, when Sewerage & Water Board contracts come up for renewal, that he was a major campaign donor to Ray Nagin’s re-election campaign, in his company’s name, MCCI.

That was after Bishop O.C. Coleman was awarded a $2.5 million contract, with help from his friend Reverend Benjamin Edwards, another Nagin benefactor, to do work on the sewer and water systems after Katrina. It might be a good idea to have some FBI, IRS, and U.S. Attorney officials on hand at City Council chambers. It might save them some trouble if they could get everyone in the same room.
