Red and Blue are the popular new political colors, but I think that map could just as easily have been Black and White.
Yes, there was crossover support for Nagin and Landrieu, but at the end of the day thinks split in a very predictable fashion.

Yeah, the crossover thing is being played too much. Blacks voted for Nagin in the end because he is one of them — not skin color, but a cultural and socioeconomic affinity. They sympathize with him — they know him better than a white Uptown guy.
